Originally a classic example of a 1930’s brick bungalow, this Morningside renovation added extensive space and modern conveniences with a thoughtful approach to its exterior façade. Original details like the back to back masonry fireplaces and exterior brick veneer along with the side entry veranda were utilized to keep a period correct feel. Updates included a 3 bedroom/3 bathroom 2^nd story addition with a finished attic playroom, a new family room with screen porch and grilling deck on top of a new side entry two-car garage with a unique sliding door opening to the backyard pool/patio. Additionally, the interior crawlspace was excavated to allow for a fully finished basement with an additional bathroom, office/bedroom, dedicated mechanical room and wine cellar with stairs to the finished first floor from the garage. Finally the properties landscaping and hardscaping elements, including the original 1970’s pool, were renovated with a focus on entertaining and family fun.
